The commercial assistant according to Bulgarian commercial law
Article 30 of the Commercial Act regulates another legal form of commercial representation – the commercial assistant. The commercial assistant is a natural person that assists in the commercial enterprise of the merchant. The legal relationships between the commercial assistant and the merchant are governed by an employment contract. The commercial assistant assists the merchant regarding the normal and typical business operations. The commercial assistant may not engage in transactions on the merchant's behalf. When working in a publicly accessible sales area, the commercial assistant shall be deemed authorized to engage in transactions usually carried out there. (Article 30 (2) of the Commercial Act).
The prescription regarding the prohibition of conducting competitive activities applies to the commercial assistant as well.
